Saunders Family Fiesta

Are we allowed to have more than one favorite Mexican restaurant? If so, Manuel's is on our list too. We took over that joint last Saturday.
They had to give us our own room and everything. Most of the Saunders clan was in attendance, except Veronica, Stacy, and their families.
Somehow we managed to eat all the chips and salsa anyway.

Debra and Jared get bonus points for driving down from Prescott. We appreciated them making the extra long trip.

We were completely won over by the Phelan kids. Aren't they lucky to have 2 red-heads?

We had to pace ourselves that day. There was soooo much good food!

Isn't our "little" nephew David a handsome guy? We can hardly believe he's a senior this year.

Our niece Jodi is almost a college grad - just one more semester to go! And Dani is cheerleading at her high school now ( you know I love that)!

These kids may be far apart in age, but they still love to play together.

The older ones show the younger ones their tricks.

Emma's birthday celebrations continued (for the 2nd week). Aunt Toni and Uncle Mark surprised her with some artsy craftsy supplies, and Cousin Jodi dressed up like a chili pepper.

We all sang to Emma as she blew out the candles on her frozen ice cream.

After lunch we met back at Grandma and Grandpa's house for dessert.

Grandma made her famous lemon merangue pie using lemons from the tree in their very own yard.

Our nephew Douglas came by too.

Rick and Douglas look so much alike - maybe it's the tall, skinny thing they've got going.

Emma takes advantage of time with her cousins.

These two had a lengthy discussion about Star Wars and Bionicles. They'll probably still talk about it 10 years from now.
