Happy Birthday Emma

Our baby is 9 years old now! On Tuesday, Emma opened her birthday cards from the out-of-town family. She appreciated the birthday wishes through mail, phone, and e-mail. We also gave her gifts. She got an American Girl DS game, books, and a Baby Alive doll that pees and poops. Weird.

Later that day, we took Emma out to Famous Dave's for her free birthday meal. The rest of us shared the meal shown in the picture below. Isn't it ridiculous? They served it on a trash can lid.

We still have leftovers in our fridge!

On Thursday night, we threw a party for Emma and all her friends. It was quite the shin-dig. We made jewelry, ate pizza, and danced the night away (video to be posted later). It was a blast!
Emma's friends spoiled her with art supplies, Webkins, pjs, games, and even a new fish!

We were so pleased that all her guests came, despite the 0 degree temperatures and icy roads. It took Rick 2 hours to scrape the ice and snow off our driveway and side walk!
