The Phoenix Zoo

We had so much fun with the Cuthbertsons on Monday, we got together with them again on Tuesday. Mindy's parents are members of The Phoenix Zoo, so they were able to get us in for free. We had 4 adults and 7 kids between us.

Since we showed up mid morning, many of the animals were still awake and active. This lion used the tree stump to give himself a good scratchin'.

We spotted several monkeys in the trees.

We're not sure what species of animal these creatures are...

The kids felt right at home in the monkey habitat.

We stopped by the play area to eat lunch. The kids spent well over an hour just running around playing tag.

Can you tell who is hiding under those masks?

Enjoy the sun now Saunders Family!

Can you run as fast as a cheetah?

We visited the reptiles at feeding time. Watch (and listen) as the zoo keeper feeds the rattlesnakes!

That is so nice, it is perfect weather for a zoo trip! When we go I can't get my kids away from the playhouse either. It looks like you had great fun but I wanted to see how fast some of the old folks can run too!
