Unrelated to that, we had a wonderful Christmas. We had our Christmas Eve dinner at a Japanese Teppanyaki Steakhouse. The kids enjoyed the show and we enjoyed the food.
Then it was home to bed before Santa came. As you can see, Santa was good to us this year. He brought me an electronic drum set that you can see here. Audrey scored a small chest freezer.
Christmas morning started about 6:45. Apparently, Jacob awoke at 4:30 and stayed in his bed until 6:45. He simply couldn't take it any longer. We told the kids that they could wake us up at any time as long as we got to take a nap later in the day. I have no idea why they waited that long, but we were grateful. Oddly enough, Audrey and I had a lot of trouble sleeping that night. I think that we were as excited as the kids. The rest of the day was slow and relaxing.
The day after, the temperature rose slightly and it rained. We spent the day with some friends at their house playing Rockband and making general fools of ourselves. Then Saturday, the temperature really rose (as you can see). Quite a far cry from last week's temp of -2 degrees.
We took down the Christmas decorations and I even did some work outside since all of the snow had melted. Now, we just wait for the next wave to come through.

Now you can make more Costco runs and fill that freezer! Yummy, Japanese food! Makes me hungry to think about it. Can't wait for your first family CD to come out!
Wow, freakish weather. I wish our temps would go up to 67 degrees. That sounds nice about now!
That's nice that you got a break from the frostyness. It sounds like your Christmas was lovely :)
Santa was definitely good to the Saunder's. All the presents and then a drop in the temp, you gotta love the break in the freeze.
